One of Britain’s best-known comedians is heading back on the road with a show built around the jokes that have stayed with him throughout his career.
After packed runs in London and Edinburgh, he’s now getting ready to take it around the country.
Jack Dee will tour Jack’s Joke Show as he celebrates 40 years in stand-up comedy. Rather than a traditional greatest-hits show, Jack will use some of his favourite old jokes and stories to look back at different moments from his life.
“Jack’s Joke Show is a compilation of all my favourite old jokes and where they belong in my life story,” Jack explains.
He says the show proved popular with audiences in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe, adding that he’s “really looking forward to taking it all around the country.”
The tour comes four decades after Jack began his stand-up career, with his familiar dry humour and deadpan delivery becoming a fixture of British comedy.
Away from touring, he has hosted BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue since 2009 and has appeared on shows including Taskmaster.
